- In this locality there are many Proverbs and several stories are connected with them.
The proverbs are as follows.
Spare the rod and spoil the child,
Nature is stronger than learning,
The longer the rosary beads the biger the devil,
Its a long road that has no turning,
Never trust your friend by outward show, for the feather flow and the pearl lieth low,
One in the hand is better than two in the bush,
Laugh and the world will laugh with you
Cry and you cry alone,
God made the world and He rested,
God made man and he rested, but since god made woman neither God, nor man or the world has rested,
Half a loaf is better than no bread,
Have it yourself or do without it,
Its poor comfort to be looking at the bread in another mans window,
Love many, trust few, always paddle your own canoe,
Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
