    named Hawkins killed them. The priests were buried in a tomb in Kilgarriff and the flag was but on. In the morning the flag was off, and it was put on again, but it did not stay on. It was put on several times but with the same result. So the graves are open to the present day and the coffins can be seen inside. There were also heavy duties placed on Irish goods and smuggling went on all around the Irish coast. Hundreds of smugglers succeeded in carrying wool to France, and in bringing in shiploads of wine, brandy, silk, tobacco, and many other things.
