  1. It is said that in olden times unbaptised children were buried on a fence at the cross roads. They (cross roads) are then considered very lonely places at night. It is also said that the "Banshee" is often found "caoining" there.

  2. Can Cloc :- There are two Carn Cloc in the district. At one place a man was killed "accidentally" . Then when people passed the place they took up a pebble and fired it into a pot where the dead man once lay. They just say when doing it: "May the lord have mercy on his soul".
    Casain Aifrainn : Although mass was celebrated in places in the district, and although the places where mass was celebrated can be seen, yet no traces of mass paths remain.
