  1. In the penal days a priest was being hunted by the priest-hunters from from Castletown.
    He was met by a protestant man whose name was Tanner. He told the priest to go away and that he would tell the priest-hunters that he was gone a different way.
    When the priest was leaving he told the Tanner man that he wished him to live as long as he liked.
    He lived and saw his family to the fourth generation.
    After a long time he went to the missioners and said that he would like to die.
    The missioners told him that as it was a priest that gave him that wish that a priest could only get him to die.
    They also asked him would he turn a Catholic and he said he would.
