    Long ago there was an old woman and the fairies used to come every night and take her away with them. They used to make her wash the ware and to do other jobs and they would not let her eat any food.

  2. My great grandfather was going home from Bantry one night and he was going through an avenue in O Donovans Cove about five miles west of Durrus. From once he went into the avenue until he left it his horse could not pull the car as if there was a ton of weight in it and there was nothing in it at the same time but the road was said to be haunted.
