Poll a Ghabhair (There is an old ivy grown mill nearby)
The Seana Mhuileann (two miles N. from the above named)
(There is only a small part of one wall of the old Muileann left. The mill ground corn long ago - before there were any wheeled carts going. Loads were carried on the horse's back in sacks. The passage down by the Faill Mór was bad, and some of the load was left above near Beith a Ghulláin Cross. This is how the bridge over the stream between Ahakeera and Shinagh got the name "Áth na Sac"
(From Mr. Wm. Hurley - nác maireann - Droumfeigh, Enniskean 80 bl. 1936.

    "Powleen a Snámh"
"The Clocha Dubha" - (Tá mealltracha móra san abhainn)
    "The Scarbh" -
(At the edge of the Scarbh is an old mill stone, and in the adjoining one can trace part of the mill-stream channel which drew its supply from the river about a hundred yards further up. This mill as well was grinding corn.
The three mills mentioned - the "Shana willian"
