    I met the tinker and his wife, the pedlar and his daughter,
    I had four apples and I gave one to each and I had one myself,
    How could that be
    Answer:- The tinker's wife was the pedlar's daughter.
    As I was going to the fair of St. Ives,
    I met nine tinkers and their wives
    Each tinker had a bag, and in each bag there was a cat, and in each cat there was a kitten,
    Men, cats, kittens and wives,
    How many were going to the fair of Saint Ives.
