    Shrove is observed but not in a very special manner, people make ''matches'' as they are called during Shrove. On Shrove Tuesday people get married. Shrove Tuesday Night is also known as

    '' pancakes'' for that night. They make them very small and thin. They make them of eggs, currants, raisins and brown sugar and several other things.
    Ash Wednesday is not observed in a special manner, ashes is blessed in Churches and people make the sigh of the cross on their foreheads with the ashes and they wear the sign of the cross on for the day.
    '' Chalk'' Sunday is not observed in the district.Holy Thursday is not observed in a special manner.
    Good Friday is observed as a feast day in the Churches.On Good Friday evening people go to the Churches to do the Stations of the Cross.
