    A man of the name of John C. Deady made this balled over sixty years ago. The title is "The Praises of Kanturk"
    1. Men of Duhallow from Greenane to Mallow,
    In whose bosoms hollow no mean thoughts lurk,
    Come join my ditty, which is true and witty,
    And I'll sing you the praises of sweet Kanturk.
    For my heart there wanders and fondly ponders
    On the many wonders there to be seen,
    From the mansions stately that rise so neatly
