    In the town of Buttevant, County Cork stand the ruins of a Castle which in the olden days belonged to Mr. David de Barry. After his death it was given over to a lady named Polly Guiney. Polly Guiney often hid the monks of Ballybeg Abbey there.
    It is noted for one incident which happened in the troubled times, when one of the monks that were in hiding was crossing the landing of the stairs his head was blown off.
