  2. The local fairs are held at Carrigaline Ballinhassig, Kinsale, Bandon etc every month. They are held in towns and villages. In some places there is a fair field but unfortunately Carrigaline has not, and so cause great annoyance to the villagers. Long ago toll was paid on sold cattle. Whenever a bargain is made always luck money is given back by the seller and this is called Luck Penny. It is very amusing to watch the men making bargains on a fair day because whenever they make
