Several roads were made at the time of the public works which is about eighty years ago. It was under that scheme that the 'line' from Mr. Neville's cross to Mr. Mick's cross was made which connects the Croom to Ballingarry road - also the line from Amigan Cross which brings you out on the main road at the 'Five Crosses'.
It is easy to know the stretches of road which were made in those days as there are no twists or turns in them, like there are in most of the roads made in olden times.
