- There is a lough in the townland of Graigues called the Way Lough. There is a story told in connection with this that a strange animal in the shape of a horse went up to the nearest house which was Mr Fitzgerald and there was a pot boiling in the fire and he devoured what it contained. He then went away into the lough again. A little time afterwards a number of local boys went throwing stones into the lake and said "what ever is inside now let it come out". At that moment they saw a black animal swimming(continues on next page)
