  1. Local Happenings
    Some years ago there was a hunt in Newbridge. They were not long hunting when they rose a big fox, and crossed the Dull. At that time there was a big flood in the river and the hounds came along and crossed it after the fox.
    The huntsman came along in a terrible fuss all the horses were stopped quickly.
    The huntsman went to cross it and as there was a strong current in the river the horse was not able to pass. The huntsman fell off and got drowned and the horse also got drowned.
    The guards found the body soon after and it floating in the rushes. This was a terrible
