    and the man almost fainted. In came a big army of ghosts marching four deep and playing a brass band. They marched around the filed, stood in the centre and played for a considerable time. Then they marched out the gate beside the man. One ghost in the rear rank stepped back and said to the man at the gate.
    "Work by day and sleep by night and
    let the wicked take their flight".
