    rowed them across to the middle of the lake and a great mansion loomed before them. They got out and their escort let them through the hall door along a passage to a large spacious hall, gaily decorated for some great feast.
    They joined in the fun and became merry. Four o'clock struck loudly in the hall and their early escort came and said to them, "Come now it is dawn". So he took them back to the shore again. Then he vanished like smoke and so did the mansion and they were never see or heard of again.
