    It was erected by Caroline, Countess of Dunraven in memory of two boys who were hanged even though they were innocent. Their names were O'Brien and the two witnesses were O'Briens also.
    A few weeks before that there was murder committed by a man named Bourke, who emigrated to America. At that time it was not known who committed the crime and they wanted to place it on someone. So they sentenced the two boys to death. The slab is placed on the exact spot. They were hanged with a chain round
