    Then she threw the root away for fear they would be entering in. At midnight there came an awful cry on the farm. They passed the house and into the byre. Then it said, "The creatures are all killed this night". The man rose out of his bed and he was not frightened to go out. When he went out he saw his asses and his two cows dead. When his wife got up in the morning she said that she was glad that she threw away the stick and if it remained in the house they would have murdered themselves.
