me grace to pass this night without offending thee, amen"
The old people used to say long ago when the Angelus bell would ring:-
"Time is shortening, death is approaching Jesus have mercy on us and grant us the grace of a happy death."
When the old people would ask a favour of Our Blessed Lady the prayer they would say was:- "Our Lady, Our Queen and Our Mother in the name of Jesus we implore of you take our causes in your hands and grant us a good success"
Another prayer the old people would say at night:-
"Bless me O Heavenly Father and give me grace to pass this night without offending thee. Amen"
