  1. My uncle was conveying John Hynes home one night across the field. When he was coming home he heard a cry and the thought twas John Hynes that was crying and he went back and John Hynes was gone to bed. The cry was there all the time and it followed him home until he came to his own door. At that time the hens used to perch inside the door. So when the cry came to the door the cock flew out against in and fell down dead.
