  1. (continued from previous page)
    Well may the Saxon laugh and taunt
    That such a man is gone ,
    But in their face , our flag we'll flaunt ,
    And neath its folds fight on .
    Where skylark seeks the summers skies
    Oe'r lonely Aherlow,
    Where galtees near their lofty peaks
    All capped in the Winter's snow;
    We'll proudly sing of Lacy's fame
    'Twill cheer our drooping souls
    And bravely keep the torcha-flame
    And strife for freedom's gone.
