  1. There is a field in Templetuohy in which there is a very ancient bush called the Fairy Bush. Long ago two young girls in the neighbourhood went to a cross-road dance one Sunday afternoon with strict orders from their parents to be home at a certain time. On their way home they came through the field where this bush was, on coming near the bush they heard great music and laughter and on coming closer they saw a party of ladies and gentlemen dancing around the bush. They remained a considerable time watching the party and when they went home they were asked by their parents why they were so late and they told them what they heard and seen. Their parents not believing them brought them back to where they had seen
