Of all the hoops the best; For whew they stormed the western tower He towered above the rest. III A mower standing in the breach With scythe to guardd the pass; His hand cut off as if to leach That flesh is still but grass IV But yet a gallant warrior's boast might to his wounds [?] balm For though his hand the hero lost He bore away the palm V He could over that in the fray where balbs and bullets fly He had on that eventful day a finger in the pie.
