Skittles
A ring is drawn and the skittles are placed in it There should be eight skittles altogether. Five of them should be in the ring in the shape of a cross. Number five in the middle, number one in front of it, number two behind it and three and four at each side of it. Then the three big skittles are thrown at the five in the ring to see who gets the most score. This is a summer game played generally at Cross roads.
Hunt the fox
One boy is chosen as a fox. He is let off a few minutes before the rest of the boys. Then the other boys chase him through the fields until they catch him.
Note" Winter game- played during the fox-hunting season.
Marbles
A ring is made on the ground with chalk. A marble is put in the middle of the ring One of the players gets twelve marbles. The player that drives out the marble the most times wins the game.(continues on next page)
