The tone is anything but friendly: Ye boys of old Erin assemble I hope we'll have peace in our isle In taking a glass on together Like brothers we are now inclined. II Ballingarry is always in bloom [?] it will never decay It is not like those Shanavest Godachs The frost it will nip them away. III Down with their yellow profession And down like the snow it will fall Like Lucifer cast out of Heaven So will those Shanavests fall. IV The old waistcoat I cannot endure For they like the Orange reply The Shanavests where it for clothing With hunger they would lay down and die. V Here's a health to Rich Corcoran and Martin Those inflable friends of reknown And likewise to Dromcadh Curry That always beat Shanvests down (Continued overleaf)
