  2. Filí na Duthaighe: Local Poets
    The only local poetess was Miss Margaret Ryan of Garrynoe, Ballingarry, Thurles. Her poems were mostly of a religious character. She was sister of late Dr. Philip Ryan P.P. Ballingarry.
