    First of all the cream is put into the barrell. Then the handle is twisted until the cream is made into butter. The butter is the separated from what is called butter -milk. It is then washed with spring water whick also helps to harden the butter. When it is washed it is wrapped in a nice white paper for market
    Long ago there lived a woman in Clogheen, Co Tipperary. She had five or six sheep. In spring time the sheep had lambs and some of the lambs died. She used milk the sheep and make butter from the milk. The old woman used say that the sheep's milk was far more creamy and thicker than cows milk.
