- There was once a gentleman an he had a goose for dinner. When the goose was ready for dinner, the butler, feeling very hungry, stole on leg and ate it. Then the gentleman was called to dinner. He was wondering what to the goose's leg, but nobody told him where it was.
Next day the gentleman and the bulter were out driving when they saw a goose in the field standing on one leg. The gentleman pointed it out to the bulter, "There's a goose standing on one leg like the one we had yesterday."
The butler said, "Crack your whip, and the goose will have two legs." So he did and the goose ran away with two legs.
Then the bulter said, "We had right to do the same with the goose on the table yesterday, and she would have two legs."- Collector
