  1. A Cunning Fox
When a man who lives near Dundrum got up early in the morning he heard a noise in his fowl house. He went to see what was the matter. He saw a fox which he thought to be dead, lying on the floor. He got a fork and threw him out on the manure heap. When the man turned his back the fox got up and ran away.
    A Clever fox
Johnny Martin lived in a small house and he had some hens roosting over the door.
One night Johnny had his trousers on a chair drying at the fire. The door was open and a fox stole in. John saw the fox and moved to shut the door in order to kill the fox inside. The fox threw the trousers into the fire, and the man rushed to get it out before it would be burned. While he was going for the trousers the fox made his escape out the door.
