Long ago in 1649 when Cromwell invaded Dundrum the Dwyers of Kilnamanagh would give no surrender to him. They went out into the Cashel field which is now the property of James Heffernan of Dundrum and buried in the field thousands of pounds. Nobody ever heard tell of it since and nobody could find the hiding place although it is said that many a man during the Mauds time looked for it and failed to find it. (no title)
