    A carpenter's axe fell into a pond of water one day.

    John to go in for it. When he went down he brought up a golden axe and the carpenter said that it was not his. He went down again and he brought up a silver axe and the carpanter said that it was not his. He dived a third time and brought up his axe, the carpanter thanked him. Everybody heard of it and one man brought an axe and threw it into the pond. He asked John to dive for it. John dived and brought up a gold axe, and the man said it was his, "It is not" said John "you can dive away for your own now.
