- My Home Townland.
The name of the townland in which I live in is Corbollis.
There are sixteen families in it.
The most common name is Duffy. Corbollis means the old townland.
In former times people went to America to earn money to help their people at home.
There is a good deal of the land under wood and bogs and the rest of it is good.
There are different names of woods in our townland. All the woods are very big.
The river Glyde runs along Corbollis but there are no stories connected with it.
The townland is not mentioned in any old saying or song.
There are no houses in ruins now. Nobody knows how Corbollis got it's name.
