    ring and challenges the other players to go from the stick to the buck in, say, thirty strides. One of them generally accepts the challenge. If he reaches the buck in thirty or fewer strides, the striker has gained points; but if he takes more than thirty, the striker has scored thirty points.
    We play for a certain number, usually fifty, and the boy who reaches that number first wins the game.
