   Keenan's Cross named Baker Crilly. He went to Dunleer one day to buy a pig but he went round all the carts at the fair before he selected one.
   He had the pig nearly bought when the pig put up his head and said "Dont buy me, baker, for I am diseased."

   A woman had an only son and he was working with a gentleman. He got on bad terms with him, and he went and joined the army After a year or two the mother got a letter from the Officer of his regiment. Having no education she got a neighbour to read the letter for her. She then went to he gentlemen to tell him the good news. When she met him she said "Well, your honour, I am very pleased you to tell you of my son's promotion in the army." The gentleman asked the woman what rank
