  1. We have a few holy wells about this locality, and no pilgrim pays a visit to any of them. yet there is one situated at Dysart and it is called Saint Patricks well.
This well lies about one hundred yards to the north of the burial ground, in a field the property of Mr Peter Maguire of Dysart in fact it may be said to lie middlebay between the burial ground (Catholic Church) and School house.
From the main road it is only about 20 yds distance, and tradition states that St. Patrick converted many people in the district, and had them baptized at this well.
Between the ands of barrichbaggot and Rokeby Hall, we find another great spring called the Spa well, old people state that cures were once performed there, but during my time this well remained neglected and unfrequented.
