  2. The townland I live in is called Hitchestown, in the Barony of Ferrard, the parish of Togher.
    There are two families in Hitchestown and seven people in all.
    One of the houses are slated and the other is thatched.
    The most common name is Campbell.
    There were a lot more houses in the district.
    There are four ruins to be seen in the townland.
    The land is fairly hilly but it is good.
    There are no old people in the district.
    A good number of the people went to America.
