  1. (continued from previous page)
    All the Counties of Erin are grand I know,
    There's no thing better this earth can show;
    And I wouldn't wish to run down the rest
    When I talk of the county I love the best.
    They have scenery fine and in every way
    Each has its merits I'm proud to say.
    Mountains and valley and lake and sea,
    And noble rives that reach the sea.
    If for testing a rod you feel inclined
    Those rives hold fishes of every kind,
    And noblest of all from source to mouth
    Is the Boyne, the pride of the County Louth.
    J. Patton.
