The door opened and a little grey-haired man appeared and the man beckoned them in and sent for the Friar. The Friar came in and asked Paddy what he had been doing at the bag and he replied that one side of the bag was heavier than the other and he had to put his hand on it to balance it. The Friar then loosened the loaves and told Paddy to clear off with the one fastened to his hand and leave the country within a month, so Paddy delighted went running down the road and kept taking chunks of the loaf now and then. Within the month Paddy with his wife and children had departed and he was never heard of again.
