    This is a true story.

    (continued from previous page)
lights were Heavenly. The carriage went round and round him about twenty times, After a while he went away through the fields, the man went home and nearly died, he told me the Story.
That was the first time ever seen.
This event I am going to tell you about happened about twenty five years ago. One night the milk man had to be in before ten O Clock to milk a certain cow in Platten Hall. as he was going up the Avenue he heard noise. He stepped off the
Avenue Road to let it pass. When he turned round to see what it was, he fainted for he saw the horsiless carriage and he fell to the ground. The carriage went up and down the Avenue three or four times. After a while it went out of sight. The man was found next morning and he nearly dead. One St. Patrick's Day when he was in our house he told us the story.
The Priests of Platten had to settle it after that.
