- I am going to tell you about some heroes or strong men I heard of.
In Meadstown the Garry boys won many bicycle races recently and a man named Casserly also.
Peter Martin, who lived in Rathmore used to carry forty stone of wheat on his back. Once when he was working at a mill in Jamestown, Jim Coyle challenged him and he won. Thomas Lawless Ongenstown and Peter Martin Rathmore were great stone throwers in their young days.
