    Mick Peek who lived in Tullaghans town and is in the bounty Home Trim now, he walked to Oldcastle and back again in the same day. There were Germans in the town and he went to see them.
    He left his home at four o'clock in the morning and was back at five o'clock in that evening.
    A man remarkable for being a great mower was Kit Mc Dermott. He was able to mow an acre with a scythe in one day.
    Ned Garry Meadstown was a good singer and Barney Flanigan a great story teller.
