  2. There were a great many fires and epidemics in my district.
    The Irish Volunteers burned Smyth's house in Churchtown. It lasted twelve hours and it was burned in the year 1921.
    Mr Patrick Kane's house was burned also. It lasted about six hours. It did not do much harm.
