  1. There is the ruins of an old house a short distance from our house. It was built of mud. There were two rooms + a kitchen in it. The kitchen is in the middle of the house. It was owned by Barney McDermot who is dead about ten years. He was ninety seven when he died. There is another old house beside our house where school was taught about twenty five years ago. John McInerney that taught in it. It is a slated house with one chimney on it. There is a wood behind this lodge. The man that taught in it is still living.
