  1. About forty years ago there lived two men named Micky and Paddy. One of them was a herd and the other a labouring man. They used to have to go to different fairs to drive home cattle for the boss.
    Micky the herd was a d - l may-care sort of a fellow and a great wit and carried the ugliest pair of feet ever a man was blessed with. Paddy was a very tasty little man and wore a very nice pair of shoes well laced and polished.
    This morning they were starting for the fair of Longford. It turned out wet and played the
