  1. The cure for ring-worm is the roots of butter-cups. When you get the roots fry them on the pan with bit of unsalted butter. Then take it out into a box and let it set. Then rub it on the ring-worm and after a few days it will wither away. There is a man by the name of Mat Cassidy who lives in Killcumney who can cure ring-worm. He is the seventh son of the family. Many people go to him to get cured. He puts his hand on the ring-worm. Then he says a prayer and after a few day it goes.
