The birds that are commonly found in this district are the blackbird, thrush, lark, robin, starling, wren, crow, swallow, cuckoo, corncrake, pigeon, jackdaw, chaffinch, gold-finch, bull-finch, Willie wagtail, stone chat, greenlinnet, snipe, owl, martin, swift, curlew, seagull, yellow hammer, tom tit, magpie, hawk, swan, wild duck, wild goose, water hen, crane, kingfisher, and the bald coot,
    The swallow, cuckoo, corncrake, swift, swan, wild duck, and wild goose migrate.
    The swallow comes to this district about the last week in April. She leaves about the last week in September. I often noticed that before she leave she gathers with another crowd of swallows and then they all go.
