    he can, to do the wheeling for him. The turf is wheeled in bog barrows. These barrows are long and have no sides to them. Sometimes they used slides to bring it home.
    The men on the bog use, a slane a shovel and spade and a scup to take out the water.
    They say they came across very big roots of trees and cregs and nuts and they say they are there since the time of the flood.
    On the Dungenstown bog, a butter dish and cooler and cards were found by Jack Branningan of Ballinvalley, Delvin. On the same bog an old headstone was found and it was lifted but was later put back.
    On Mullacroy bog a few years ago, the remains of a red-haired woman was found. She had a basket with her. There was a mark on her head, as if she had been murdered.
