    to Cavan to break stones and he was so tired he had to sit down on banks of snow to rest himself. He never wore boots in his life.
    When he was gone his wife and aunt left the children sitting at a little fire eating stirabout and told them they would be back in an hour. Instead of going back they stole to some ship and went off to America.
    It is said the children eat clay and bark of the trees, they used to be so hungry.
