There are no stories or traditions connected with the local forge. The forge was always a centre for story-telling. The forge has not figured in any historical or national event.
There are two fireplaces in Mullen’s forge, and two chimneys. The walls are made of stone.

  2. The local fairs are held in Delvin. They are always held in Delvin. Buyers often transacted business in the country, and do at farmer's houses. This is still done.
Fairs were held formerly in Delvin which have now been discontinued. They used to be held on Saint Patrick's Day, May Day and 1st December. They are held now on the first Friday in every month.
There are no local traditions of fairs held on hills etc.
