- Mrd. Wyer Killbeggan remembers hearing of an old woman in Carne, who dreamt three nights in succession of finding a crock of gold under a certain rock. With the assistance of the neighbours she removed the rock and in a cavity underneath she got the crock but there was nothing in it only a sort of ashes. This turned up stone can be seen yet.
